Enhance your Brand. Images that show what you do. || Salt Lake Brand Photographer

Intro

We’ve all heard people say they are “visual learners.” Powerful images that accurately represent your brand can be that “visual.” Images that are authentic to your brand - whether that’s your personal brand or a brand for your business, are often the first touchpoint your potential client has with your brand. So what story are your images telling?

Meet Ari Mason

Ari is building her business as a Fractional Chief Marketing Officer here in Utah. Her platform, www.arimason.com, is the tool she uses to educate potential clients on her services as a fractional CMO. Ari’s situation is unique because her personal brand and the brand for her business are separate - but connected. This is often the case with solopreneurs, freelancers, and small businesses.

I’ve worked with Ari a few times now to create a portfolio of images that represent both her personal and business brands — images she can use to update her website, socials, profiles, etc.

For the first session, we stayed pretty focused on capturing a variety of headshots. The second session, we had a goal of capturing Ari’s professionalism and magnetism. We also wanted to showcase her unique creativity. Ari is a bold woman, and that is something her clients benefit from.

The images Ari has to utilize in her personal and business brand all form part of her brand story. The feeling of familiarity potential clients will develop with Ari by viewing these images allows a more personal and meaningful connection from the very beginning.

So you have your images — Now what?

Using the images Ari now has at her fingertips as an example, let’s talk about how you can use your portfolio of images to familiarize your potential clients with who you are and what you do.

For Ari’s images, we have a mixture of her looking straight at the camera, working on her computer, taking phone calls, meeting with a client, and more. We also have a variety of image orientations and images purposely positioned to be used as web images that will allow for text overlays and such. (If you design your website, you know how valuable this is!)

So how can Ari put her images together to tell her brand story?

Part of telling your story is showing potential clients what it looks like when they work with you.

When Ari uses images of her meeting with a client, her potential clients view the experience of sitting across from Ari before they ever experience it face-to-face. This creates a sense of familiarity and puts the client at ease when the interaction happens in real life.

An image of Ari taking a phone call can be used to represent one of her marketing points - that she becomes part of your team and is available for you when you hire her as your CMO.

Her headshots can be used on bio page, her LinkedIn profile and other places where showing her face can help her clients get to know her.

Images of Ari working on her computer show her intense focus on what she’s doing - something you can expect from her when you are her client. She’s also using them on her “Services” page as filler images.

Conclusion

So let me ask you a question — do you feel like you just met Ari Mason?

If you’re putting together the content for yourself or your business, you know how difficult it is to source images that reflect your personal and business brand. When you shoot content sessions with Lake City Photos, together we uncover what images you need to tell your story, and then we deliver a gallery you can have right at your fingertips when you’re putting together your content.

Stock photos don’t tell your story — you do. We want to help you do that!
